Nebraskans’ strong work ethic is well recognized, with a 70% labor force participation rate. 64% of Nebraskans have some college education or more. The state has the ninth-best unemployment rate in the nation.

Nebraska also has one of the higher ranked education systems (ninth best PK-12 and seventh best in higher education) that can be leveraged to meet the state’s
21st-century workforce needs. Nebraska also has room to grow in attracting top talent, currently ranked No. 27 among states, particularly in the middle- and
high-skill occupations.

As a partner in Blueprint Nebraska, the Nebraska Chamber is supporting efforts to:
  • Scale partnerships to increase internships, apprenticeships and customized workforce solutions.
  • Become a leader in lifelong learning and career preparation.
  • Promote workplace diversity and inclusion.
  • Develop targeted marketing to rising talent to “Choose Nebraska.”
