Research Projects

​Nebraska's greatest asset is its people. Yet, our greatest challenge for the coming decades will be our ability to retain and attract young individuals and families in the aging national demographics. 

By 2030, Nebraska will need to ahve added tens of thousands of new workers to our workforce. But to do so successfully, our communities will need to develop the types of local infrastructure to support this immigration including, but not limited to: 
  • affordable housing
  • childcare
  • education and medical facilities, and
  • soclial services

This will require bigger ideas and the foundational data and analysis to move the needle statewide. 

Building a Stronger Future for Nebraska Through Research
  • the work of the NE Chamber Foundation informs and supports sustainable statewide solutions that will help drive Nebraska's future economy including talent, education, innovation, economic diversity, infrastructure, business climate, governance and quality of life. 
  • Nebraska needs original ideas to tackle the state's unique current and future opportunities and challenges. The research performed by the NE Chamber Foundation will help create a new vision for success: an innovative, all-industry, all-emcompassing approach that drives, with focus and resolve, toward greater growth throughout the state. 

The NE Chamber Foundation is conducting three studies in 2023. These include research and data on state competitiveness including growing our state's workforce, legal immigration and manufacturing automation.
