“As most of us small and medium-size business leaders know, resources are scarce and regulators can be dangerous to business if not properly informed. I am pleased to share my three decades of experience and views on the Nebraska. State Chamber. The professional and respectful interfacing with state senators has consistently resulted in a favorable business climate to assist businesses to add employees and to be globally competitive. Several groups have regional influence; the State Chamber has statewide representation and respect. Behlen Mfg. Co. is proud to be a member.”

WHY JOIN?
For more than a century, the Nebraska Chamber has proudly served as the voice of Nebraska’s business community. It is the state’s only broad-based association, representing a grassroots membership of businesses across the state.
The Nebraska Chamber works hard to promote the interests of employers of all sizes, as well as self-employed individuals, other trade associations, educational institutions, and local chambers of commerce. What links our members is the shared goal to improve Nebraska’s business climate and expanding opportunities for Nebraska businesses.
The Nebraska Chamber Staff works effectively with the Legislature and other state government officials, with experienced full-time lobbyists leading our legislative efforts. Throughout every legislative session, the Nebraska Chamber keeps its members well informed on day-to-day action in Lincoln through its printed and electronic reporting. Action alerts notify members of upcoming votes in which they may wish to contact their state senators. After each legislative session, the Nebraska Chamber members receive summaries of the legislative activities that year and a scorecard related to key votes.
The Nebraska Chamber, working with its national affiliates, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers, also monitors federal legislation and regulatory developments in Washington D.C.
Throughout the year, the Nebraska Chamber also provides a multitude of program, seminars, training sessions, publications and other tools for our members including educational workshops, membership directories, labor law publications, and special events across Nebraska like our fall forum series.
