Economic Development Summit
More than 130 business, community and state leaders gathered at the Nebraska Chamber’s 2019 Economic Development Summit, designed to match public, education, and private sector partners to initiatives that keep Nebraska competitive in the contest for skilled labor, investment and economic growth.
Keynote speakers Governor Pete Ricketts and Dr. Jeffrey P. Gold, Chancellor of UNMC and UNO, shared their visions for growing Nebraska, including the role of research and development.
Conference breakout sessions were inspired by Blueprint Nebraska and delved into the challenges and opportunities awaiting the state in customized workforce solutions, economic incentives, community revitalization and tech-enabled innovation. The UNL Bureau of Business Research presented its new Nebraska Thriving Index.
